Hello!Our Story
Anchored Life Ministries began with a simple conviction: that people need more than information about faith — they need a place to be walked alongside. What started as a calling to serve through counseling and teaching has grown into a ministry dedicated to helping people stay anchored in Christ, no matter what life brings.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit organization based in Idaho, serving both English- and Russian-speaking communities.
Our Mission
To help individuals stay anchored in Christ through spiritual counseling, biblical teaching, and genuine community — offering hope, truth, and support for life's hardest questions.
Our Values
Scripture-rooted. Everything we do flows from the truth of God's Word.
Compassion first. We meet people where they are, without judgment.
Community over isolation. No one should walk through hard seasons alone.
Integrity in service. We steward every gift and every relationship with care.
Meet Pastor Igor
Igor Ivanov — President & Founder
Igor Ivanov, President and Founder
Igor's ministry was born in the 1990s, a time of upheaval across the former Soviet Union. Political, social, and economic crisis touched everyone. It was in that same season that God came into his life and the life of his wife, Svetlana. They describe those early years as a flood they could not stop: reading Scripture, praying, swept up in what they had found.
During one of those prayer times, something happened that would shape the rest of their lives. While praying in tongues, Igor suddenly heard his own voice speak a clear sentence he had never formed and did not understand: "My children, left to themselves." He and Svetlana had no children then. Years later, six siblings came into their home, three boys and three girls, left without parents or guardians. Those children call them mother and father to this day.
In the year 2000 they planted a church, and they took as its vision the words of the apostle Paul:
"Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." (Colossians 1:28)
What they had learned raising those six children, they began to see in the people who walked through the church doors. The same marks of being left to oneself. The same inner chains in people who were technically free.
That calling led Igor and Svetlana to complete formal training in spiritual counseling, and out of that training and years of lived experience they developed the approach they teach today. At its center is the question of what the heart truly worships. Igor points to the three temptations Christ faced in the wilderness as a map of the human heart: comfort, security, and significance. When those good things become idols, people fall into bondage, often without recognizing it. Because spiritual powers stand behind every idol, their counseling work is joined to a ministry of deliverance, followed by patient accompaniment through prayer, teaching, and ongoing care.
Today Igor leads Anchored Life Ministries with a vision to equip others for this work, forming teams of spiritual counselors across multiple countries, so that God alone receives the worship of the human heart.
